Fukuryu Ramen Ghost Kitchen: Reviews & Ratings

Fukuryu is the most consistent ramen place in Columbus. Of the menu items I've had, all are solid choices. I've never had a bad meal, never had a cold to-go order, never had a reason to ask for a refund. The staff I've interacted with have always been helpful in answering questions and getting food out to you. The vibes inside are what you'd expect for a well funded chain, there's plenty of interesting art and designs to look at while waiting. It's not my favorite ramen place but it's definitely one of the best.

Such a great ramen spot. They had some really good flavored and herb infused teas and the ramen was incredible. Would make this a regular spot if I lived in Columbus

This is at 748 Harmon Avenue is a ghost-kitchen location, it is pick-up only. Plenty of off street parking! Go up to the door labeled "Fukuryu Ramen" and ring the doorbell. Quick pickup! This was my first time having Fukuryu Ramen at all, and I was very impressed! It was delicious and so tasty!! The chicken ramen broth is to die for! It was a little pricey, for what you get. It was pickup, $18.59. I feel I get more food when I go to Tensuke Express for ramen. However, I'm thrilled to have a pick-up ramen spot on the Westside! I don't need to drive 20+ min one way anymore to get delicious ramen! Would recommend!!

Best ramen I've had in columbus. Maybe it's not the best ramen, but we're in Ohio, come on. Good portions, great flavor... that's it? I have no notes here, just phenomenal stuff.

My boyfriend came across this new restaurant in a 614 Now article. Dömo Donburi is a ghost kitchen that has specific dates and times they're open. Ordering must be completed online via Grub Hub, Door Dash etc. There was a problem with our order, so we immediately got a call from the staff to rectify it; that's much appreciated! We got the tempura shrimp steamed buns, Japanese Fried Chicken Rice Bowl and Curried Chicken Rice Bowl (?). The fried chicken was served over rice, with a little bit of cabbage and a side sauce. The meal was filling and the chicken was perfectly crispy. The sauce added a lot of flavor... but there wasn't enough of it with the generous portion of chicken. We really loved to steamed buns, despite it being so spicy. It the bun itself was gloriously pillowy and was packed full of flavor. There are two in the container, by the way. Overall, if you have a chance, definitely check this place out for a satisfying and uncomplicated meal.

As an unabashed fan of Fukuryu Ramen, I was delighted to learn of this new ghost kitchen created by the same proprietors. As of this writing, their hours are still fairly limited, but after last night's meal, I can tell you that it's worth waiting till Friday or Saturday for this level of deliciousness. My girlfriend and I ordered a couple of shrimp tempura bao (steamed buns) for an appetizer, while I got the Japanese curry rice bowl (with panko chicken), and she got the karaage rice bowl for our entrees. Now, I'm generally quite a spice wuss -- I really can't handle much heat other than ginger etc. That being said, while the baos are quite spicy -- nose-running, eyes-watering, drink-needing spicy for me -- I also found them to be delicious. It might be the first time that I've found some joy in spice, which may be downright revelatory for me. Despite the pain, I would order them again in a heartbeat. As for the entrees, I love Japanese curry, and the curry rice bowl is my usual go-to at Fukuryu. The one at Domo Donburi is distinctly different from that one -- not necessarily better, and certainly not worse, but different. There's more cabbage here, and the sauce is a bit thinner. The flavor is slightly different as well, but once again...I'd order it again in a heartbeat. Overall, while I'm not a huge fan of ghost kitchens, I can safely say that we'll be ordering from Domo Donburi again, and perhaps even regularly. The flavors are delicious, and despite the inconvenience of relying on delivery (and paying the price for it), $50 is still worthwhile for two filling and tasty meals.
